 I've been having a really good time here. I'm afraid I haven't gotten as far north as your office though.  I met a German couple on my third day, and I have done two day trips with them - one to Black River Gorges, Chamerel etc, and one to Port Louis. Both were long days 8:30 until about 6pm. Since we wanted to see several places we shared a taxi so we could fit more visits in. I have not been on a bus! I expected I would use them, but no.

"Our stay in La Hacienda was a complete success. We rented a one-bedroom bungalow and the large two-bedroom bungalow for one night. It was my father’s birthday and we wanted to do something special. Everything worked out in advance with our reservation by the Isla Mauricia team. I asked if we could all have breakfast on the terrace of the large two-bedroom bungalow so we could celebrate as a family for my father’s birthday, and the Isla Mauricia team helped me to organise this. Payment and booking confirmation progressed without any problems. When we arrived at La Hacienda our pre-booked accommodation was welcoming and clean. As it was already evening when we arrived, there was no agent there but the night porter had been instructed to give us our keys and show us to our accommodation. So everything went well. For an evening meal we drove to the next biggest town of Mahebourg, where there is a variety of restaurants. Back in our comfortable beds we got some well-deserved sleep and the next morning we were woken by the rising sun. From the bungalows we had a spectacular view of the valley, the mountains and the bay. The rising sun, mixed with fine, drizzling rain, created a very unique aspect to our view, made even better by a rainbow. We took so many photos. We were able to have breakfast, as requested, on the balcony of the two-bedroom bungalow, which was bathed in beautiful sunshine and provided a mesmerizing view. I can really recommend a stay at La Hacienda if you like being surrounded by peace and beautiful nature. This offers a great change to the typical accommodation on and around the beach, and shows another side to this beautiful island." Melanie

"It all worked out well and we were very comfortable.
Short feedback:
- Beach villas: great location on the ocean, very beautiful and well-maintained facilities, we would definitely stay here again. Mont Choisy is quiet, great beach, but nevertheless has a supermarket and 2-3 restaurants, Grand Bay and Peryebere are good, accessible by buses and taxi.
-Marlin Creek: beautiful rooms and facilities, very very nice owner, but the area is somewhat expensive if you don’t have a car. The Black River area is quite dead, restaurants are 2-10 km away, supermarket about 3km away. Christoph, one of the owners, often took us to restaurants, if it was more than 2-3 km away. Unfortunately there was no bike hire (only in Flic en Flac) – Christoph is considering offering rentals in the future. Buses do not run as frequently as in the North. We travelled using public buses and even once with a rented taxi for a day in the Black River area. Black River and Marlin Creek are good recommendations as places for sport fishing; the season begins on 15th December. We also went diving, if you need any recommendations for clients, I have been diving since 1993 and have been to several places around the world." Dieter

"Booking procedure and I-M experience:
We had great service from I-M and Dietmar personally through the booking process, which went smoothly - Dietmar was exemplary in his promptness and helpfulness, giving us a lot of confidence in the company and service.  We were very happy indeed with the whole process and even more so with the holiday itself.

Paradise Beach apartments:
It's hard to emphasise too much just how high-quality these apartments are - the level of space, comfort and the facilities and fittings; the location and convenience; the stunning views and beach; the exceptionally helpful service and assistance available to make the most of the surrounding glory of Mauritius... all absolutely top of the range.  This exceeded our expectations and never failed to surprise us in a very good way.
It's very well worth getting up for sunrise on the beach, watching the star-fish dig themselves in for the day... a photographer's dream.  It's close enough to Mahebourg to walk, close to a large number of other attractions and locations, good food nearby, etc.
It's hard to think of anything that could improve this location, we loved it.

Estuary Guest House:
Our lovely host Angela has a superb guest house on the river just outside Tamarin.  With views over the river with the mountain in the background and within sound of the surf (less than a 5 minute walk away), the wooden accommodation is fitted out to the highest quality and is very comfortable.  Angela was invaluable in providing advice and guidance for our excursions and enabled us to make the most of our time there.  She also serves a generous and delicious breakfast!  We especially want to thank Angela for the way she accommodated my wife's rather picky eating requirements - no meat, wheat or dairy (and no caffeine) is quite a challenge but Angela was gracious and very generous in providing excellent breakfasts, certainly going the extra mile in providing suitable milk, beverages and cereals, etc.  This made a great difference on top of what would have been an excellent stay anyway.
Whilst the location is a little out of the way for town facilities, it is only a very short walk to several places to eat, is virtually on the beach and is ideal for anyone wanting somewhere tranquil to relax between activities.  Also, the night sky was very clear - the Milky Way was clearly visible in a sky full of stars.
A lovely place to stay.

Mauritius:
A small island with a lot to do and see - we barely scratched the surface but were very happy.  We used the local taxis extensively - cheaper than hiring a car and you get a very friendly guide in the price!  We really enjoyed walking in the National Park and generally walking around the place, it's a beautiful, beautiful place with very friendly people everywhere we went.  We'd love to be coming back soon!
