is the "SEGA"!
Sega has its roots from the days of slavery in mauritius. Today
Sega is still very popular among all age groups and you couldn't
imagine any party without it in mauritius!
You have the traditional sega style and the modern style. The difference
between those two styles is heard in it's texts, melodies and instruments.
Sega has something mystical and special about it's rhythm, when
you hear live sega you immediately get the feeling that you need
to dance.
Sega shows are often performed in most hotels around the island
on the beach with a big campfire. Sometimes you also have Sega concerts.
