Default Searching Accomodation

I'm going to Mauritius in October 2008 in order to work several months with children on a media project. This will take place in the "Centre d'Education des Enfants Mauriciens" (Vacoas).

Does anybody know an accomodation for me for 2-3 months in Vacoas or nearby? Are there some other tipps I have to know absolutely?

Thanks!

Default Accomodation in Vacoas

I am late in responding but I know someone who could have rented you the first floor of her house in Vacoas, it is at 15 mins walk from the place you work. Too bad maybe next time.

Hi pascalou,

welcome to the Forum! How is it going ? Thanks for the tipp. Maybe in future there will be other people who might need it. You live close to Vacoas ? how is the weather upthere ? Here in Grand Baie its very hot, but the rain of yesterday cooled down a bit the temperature, but now its rising again

Default Living in Vacoas

Hi Dietmar
No I no longer live there its my parents who still are in Vacoas. I've moved over to Bambous and its as hot as G-Bay I guess. Its much cooler in Vacoas and I know the place you are talking about I went to school just behind it the Maurice Cure. I know that area pretty well and have very good memories coming up.

Thks

Bambous, nice, someone staying in Triolet told me he dreams to live there because its peaceful and quiet, here in Grand Baie its become stressy, noisy and crowded, not like it was 15 years ago... What its like in Bambous ???

Hi Pascalou,
I will be travelling to Mauritius next week and I am looking for an accomondation for seven weeks (12 February to 31 March). Do you still rent the first floor of the house in Vacoas? How much would it be?

Thanks for your help,
Corinna

Default Hi

Hi Dietmar,

Mauritius is very green and hot. So far I am staying near the beach in Flic en Flac. I went to see the apartment in Vacoas which was really nice but I think I prefer the beach.

Today I only had a very short visit to Cedem. Everything goes crazy because of the Chinese President... My real work will start on Wednesday, so next week I can write more.
