Default Bungalow to Rent

Hi Everyone

What is the average cost to hire a Bungalow for 2 adults and 2 children under
12.I am looking for 2 bedrooms self catering and air conditioned.I am very familiar with the Island. I prefer Flic en Flac area closer to my friends.Does not have to be close to the Beach.

Must have a cleaner to come in and also secure parking.I am looking to rent
around the 7 of Jan to 21.

Thank You

Pravesh

The closer it gets to the beach, the more expensive it is. In Flic en Flac there are several apartment complexes where you could get something like in the price range of 50 - 60 Euros a night I guess. In the north you can also get similar in a price range of 30 - 50. It varies.

How many times have you been to mauritius already ? What is it about mauritius that you like and that makes you consider mauritius worthy of coming back again and again ?

Hi Dietmar

Thanks for your prompt reply.I have been coming to the Island as early
as 1977 when I was a kid.We have many friends on the Island.I enjoy the
Island. It is perfect for my family to enjoy. Here in South Africa we live in
our prisons.Crime is almost the highest in the world.I have lost 5 family members to murder. We are always living on the edge.

I would like to move to Mauritius in the future but Mauritius has very strict immigration laws.I visit the Island twice in a year.

Regards

Pravesh

Hi there Pravesh,

thanks for writing back.

In 1977 i wasn't yet born, but got to see more of mauritius in the eighties...

It was quite different then... Do you kind of still have some memories how it was like in the late seventies ?

People were poorer back then, roads were not in the best conditions, there were no traffic problems, I mean by that traffic jams, and many spots were not developed yet. Well, Mauritius was an island were time seemed to have stopped, where the paste of life was slower. Even though it was kind of special and nice, the standard of living for most wasn't that great. As well as concerning education, way more people didn't know how to read and write. So, now things are pretty different. But sometimes I do miss my old mauritius... People say, if you go to Rodrigues island, you'll find it there again, you ever been in Rodrigues ?

Concerning south africa i'm sorry to read this, a friend of mine told me that in the afternoons he couldn't sit outside to smoke his cigarette, he had to stay inside with everything closed. That must be really tough to be living on the edge as you say. Which city are you from ?

Yes, the immigration laws to Mauritius are quite tough, but maybe you could get a job here to start with ? If you manage to get one, you can then stay here for a while. But getting permanent resident permit is a bit tougher though to get I reckon.
