Hi Tom!
In Mauritius you have such a broad choice of golf courses, I don't even know where to start. The island is really growing into one of the top golf destinations! Many hotels offer their own golf course, such as the Legends at Belle Mare. The hotel Le Touessrock even offers its own golf course on the beautiful island Ile aux Cerfs. Make a small boat trip to reach the green ![]() Many of the new IRS Villas also offer their own course. Some of the villa villages are especially designed for golfers. For example Tamarina Golf Estate on the western coast. The golf course at the hotel Le Paradis offers a very picturesque setting. It is just beautifully situated between the sea and the mountain Le Morne Brabant. Don't worry, you will be having a good time playing golf in Mauritius ![]() All the best Richard |

In Mauritius, its not only the tourists who play golf, but also mauritians and expats. For some expats to play golf is really a sporting obsession and in mauritius its possible to quench the thirst of this desire
So if you like golf, mauritius is the place to be 'cause there are golf courses for novices semi-pros.This year, 2008, six further 18 hole golf courses opened. The new courses are Anahita, Le Touessrock, Golf du Chateau, Tamarina, and 2x Belle Mare (Legends course and Links course at Belle Mare Plage Hotel). Unfortunately I'm not the golf expert and I don't know about Le Paradis hotel. But I'm pretty sure that to whatever golf course you'll go to over here, it will be a good one! |
