Hi Dietmar
Thanks for your hospitality and assistance. Other than the official website, are there other mediums that the locals will know the TV Schedules for the international games? Or do the locals use the international cable/satellite TV Channels to watch the broadcasted matches? Hmm, I am from Singapore and we do have our local football scene too. However, due to our culture, we do have difficulty in finding local talents who can play football professionally (full-time), thus we rely on foreign talents as well. It is getting stronger and more recognizable by the year, so hopefully, we can make a bigger impact on the world in the years to come. So here is a big cheer for both our local football scenes to flourish, then we have more beautiful football to watch. Hee. |

Hi Richard
To be frank, sometimes too much isn't a good thing either. Watching repeated matches over and over again can tamper the passion for watching football. Haha. But to be able to be part of it is an honor in itself. Hee. I watched almost all the matches, be it Arsenal or not, as long as I have time. But not during office hours. I still prefer to watch live matches. Hee. And of course I am glad that Arsenal finally won a match, especially after 2 draws. Haha. Happy New Year! Cheers Eunice |

Hi Eunice!
Well, yeah, am glad that you finally had a victory to celebrate How does the fan community in Singapore look like? A lot of Arsenal fans around or are you all alone there? Are there a lot of sport pubs where you watch the matches with a good glass of beer? Of course no TV broadcast can top the live experience of a football match! But you have to travel quite a long way to see the Premier League Did you have the chance to watch a lot of international matches? Abroad or even in Singapore sometimes? So long Richard |

Still in the festive mood, thus the late response. Haha. We do have our own Singapore League (S-League). I am not a fan of any of the clubs in general though I will follow the news of Singapore's national football team when I have the time. Although currently, Arsenal is positioned 5th, right behind Aston Villa, Arsenal will always be considered the "Big 4", alongside Manchester United, Liverpool & Chelsea. So I trust that Arsenal will catch up. It's called English Premier League (EPL), though some may call it Barclays Premier League (BPL), after its official sponsor. In Singapore, you can choose to countdown in any club, in their own styles. There are a couple of places where anyone can view fireworks displays, with live broadcast of a selected location, with local artistes performing some light-hearted song & dance routines til countdown, entertaining those who choose to stay at home. I chose to book a hotel with a couple of friends to watch the fireworks, as I have participated in the Christmas Eve Countdown in my favourite club. Hee. |

Most of those around me are fans of Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea. I am not able to find the same number of Arsenal fans. Those that I am able to find are mostly ladies. I wonder why. Haha. Quote:
Personally, I don't touch alcohol but if I do go and watch at pubs, I can see that beer is the popular drink. Quote:
