Le Guerlande is located at the white sandy beach and turquoise lagoon of Pointe d’Esny in the south east of Mauritius. It is a quiet region, a coastal village. Pointe d’Esny is popular and well known for having dreamlike white sandy beaches and turquoise lagoons as you see them in catalogues, only that here these are real!

The weather is usually warm, sunny and humid.

In the sea there are various islands. Some played important roles in history and have ruins on them. Another island is „Ile aux Aigrettes“ which is a nature reserve and which can be visited with a guide during the day.

Not far is the historical town of Mahebourg where the Dutch built their port when they first landed on the island back in the 15th century. Mahebourg has monuments, a musueum and its own special kind of flair, different from other mauritian towns.

Shopping is possible in the vicinity. There is a Supermarket close by and in Mahebourg you’ll find a local market, various shops and eating possibilities.

The region where the hotel is located is a particularly quiet region thus at night there will be a few locations in the vicinity where you can go to. For more night life you would need to go to the towns on the high plateaus or the north which will be more than a 30mins drive. We particularly advise this location for a peaceful, relaxing and quiet stay.

Positioned on the first floor of the main house, these suites offer a special view over the white sandy beach and turquoise lagoon of Pointe d’Esny. One suite is situated on the right wing of the main house and the other suite on the left wing. These suites are spacious and are the jewels of the Le Guerlande complex. Rooms are equipped with fans, bathroom, and access to a balcony.
