Overview

The holiday residence La Mariposa is situated in the small fishermen’s village La Preneuse in the south-west of Mauritius. Idyllically embedded in a tropical garden you will find 14 One-Bedroom-Apartments, 1 Two-Bedroom-Apartment and 1 Three-Bedroom-Apartment. All apartments offer great comfort and a beautiful sea view. La Mariposa is located directly on the white sandy beach of La Preneuse. In the garden of the residence you find a swimming pool and a sundeck. Enjoy the breathtaking view over the lagoon to the mountain Le Morne Brabant, which recently was declared a World Heritage Site. The lagoon is ideally suited for swimming and is also very popular amongst divers and snorkelers, it is called “the aquarium” by the locals.

La Mariposa is situated in La Preneuse on the western coast of Mauritius. The village is quiet and peaceful and offers some supermarkets and restaurants. Not far from the apartments you will find Le Ruisseau Créole, a modern shopping center which offers a broad choice of restaurants and boutiques. La Prenuese is found in the Black River District, the most aboriginal region of Mauritius. Here nature reigns and the landscape is breathtaking. Thus you will find several of Mauritius’ most beautiful natural sights in proximity of the apartments. Admire the multicouloured earth at Chamarel, go hiking in Black River Gorges National Park or marvel at the untamed power of the Indian Ocean on the southern coast of the island.
