In the south of Mauritius island, near the village Riviere des Anguilles, high on top of spectacular cliffs overlooking the Indian Ocean you find the Lodge Andréa. Without a doubt the south is the most authentic region of the island, where fauna and flora have been best conserved. Thus the region is ideal for hiking, trekking and mountain biking. Discover the waterfall Cascade Leon, follow the course of the river Riviere des Anguilles or go on a hike in the Combo forest.
Enjoy the breathtaking view on the river Riviere des Anguilles which flows into the ocean beneath the holiday residence. Admire the untamed forces of the Indian Ocean which crashes against the cliffs. Enjoy the tranquility and relax far away from the stress and noise of the big cities.
In proximity of the Lodge Andréa the small village Riviere des Anguilles is located. A visit of the Vanille Nature Park, a natural reserve with monkeys, crocodiles and giant tortoises is very popular.
If you traverse the sugar cane fields which surround the Lodge Andréa you will soon arrive at the waterfall Rochesterfalls. The visitor can enjoy a spectacular view on the waterfall: due to volcanic activities geological formations of different heights came into existence and the water flows down the waterfall in a cascade. You may even take a refreshing dip in the water basin.
