Baie du Tombeau is a suburb of Port-Louis that stretches itself along the west coast of Mauritius. It has its own flair and tropical setting. Mainly a residential area where mostly Mauritians reside who work in Port-Louis and outskirts towns. It’s the kind of place where people stay to have peace, tranquillity and enjoy it at the same time. Even though this place is a suburb of Port-Louis, you will find that neither is not very lively nor that it has much to offer in the sense of entertainment, actually ideal for the one seeking a more kind of a relaxed and quiet holiday location in a tropical place. If you want more, you are a few minutes drive from the capital city Port-Louis or you can head to Grand Baie which is around a 25 minutes drive.

In Baie du Tombeau you will find a few shops, but if you want to do shopping it is better for you to go to Port-Louis or to Jumbo Hypermarket which is only a few kilometres away.

Along the beach you will find many houses, mainly used for private living or as a holiday residence for locals which they use on the weekends. The beach itself in front of the property is usually quiet and you will see a few fishing boats in front.
