Pointe d'Esny is a quiet village and perfect place for relaxation. The beach directly in front of the accommodation is ideal for swimming, snorkelling, and sun bathing.

Blue Bay (only 2 minutes away) offers a variety of water sports in the beautiful lagoon. The lagoon is surrounded by a coral reef and was declared a Marine Park, a special protective zone, in 1997.With over 50 different kinds of corals and a large variety of coral fish it's a paradise for snorkellers and divers.

The closest larger city is Mahebourg. The city has a large variety of restaurants, shops, and weekly market where you will certainly find a nice souvenir for those at home. Mahebourg is  both a modern and historically important city. Next to the neo-Gothic church of Notre Dame d'Agnes the Musée Naval is definitely worth a visit. The museum shows a variety of historical and maritime items such as the ship's bell of the Saint Géran, naval charts from the 16th century, numerous model ships, swords, guns, and cannons.

There are additional tourist attractions in the south of the island. The la Vanille Crocodile Park can be easily reached. This patch of rain forest shows monkeys, giant turtles, and, of course, crocodiles. A drive along the South Coast is also very impressive. Here you can experience the rugged cliffs and the untamed forces of the Indian Ocean. You should also not miss a visit to the River Gorges National Park. Here you can see the untouched nature of Mauritius and a number of water falls.
