The small, quiet fishing village of Cap Malheureux is located in the very north of Mauritius. There are various restaurants and shopping opportunities in the village. Because of the beautiful view of the coast line and the island of ‘Coin de Mire’, Cap Malheureux is a favourite place of excursions for tourists. The small church, Notre-Dame Auxilatrice, with its red pitched roof is a popular motif for photographers. The ‘Cape of Bad Luck’ derives its name from a historical event: On the 2nd of December 1810 the English landed here in order to snatch the dominion over Mauritius from the French. Only a few days later the French had to sign their capitulation.

Not far from the holiday complex is the popular beach of Pereybere. You will also find a number of restaurants and shops there. The popular tourist city of Grand Bay is also near by. Have a look at the yachts in the large bay, go for a stroll on Sunset Boulevard and enjoy the large variety of restaurants, bars and dance clubs.
