Persons to be accommodated: 6. (plus cot/extra bed).
Baby cot and/or extra bed are available at Euros 8 per day. This will enable two extra children to be accommodated in the villa.

Size of apartment: The villa is 200m2 including covered verandah

Parking/Garage: Open parking in front of the main entrance to the villa, i.e. on the opposite side to the beach. Villa faces the beach and main entrance is from the driveway and parking side.

Balcony/Terrace: Very big covered verandah and a new open- air paved barbecue area with lighting.

Garden: Large landscaped garden with shady palm trees and sunny tanning areas

Maid-service: The housemaid works mornings from 09H00 to 12H30 to clean the bungalow and do your personal laundry and does the ironing in the afternoon from 16H00 – 17H00 and attends to the washing of the linen. The cook works for 5 hours from 09H15 - 14H15. One load of personal laundry is done for you every second day. Additional loads are charged at Rupees 300 per load. Babysitter or nanny can be arranged with prior notice.

Internet access and Phone: We provide a 24-hour high-speed internet access via cable and wireless technology for clients free of charge. Phone of the villa can be used to make local calls. For international calls you need to buy a calling card which is available locally. This calling card can be purchased by Management on request by prior to your arrival.

Port Louis: around 35 km. Takes 30 minutes by car.

Grand Bay Center: around 20 Km. Takes 25 minutes by car.

Next supermarket: Convenience store 5 minutes away by car where you can get the basics. Supermarket in Goodlands 15 minutes away. Supermarket in Grand Baie 25 minutes away and also at Riches Terre 25 minutes away. Also small supermarkets and lots of fresh vegetables and fruit in the town of Riviere du Rempart which is 8 minutes away by car.

Next bus-stop: Outside the door at the bottom of the long driveway.

Next car-rental: In Grand Bay or Goodlands which is 15 minutes away.

Next bank/moneychanger: In the village of Riviere du Rempart which is 8 minutes away by car.

Beach: The villa is on the beach. Walk down the steps at the front of the garden and you are on the beach. The gazebo overlooks the beach and lagoon. The entire frontage of the garden is on the beach.

Restaurants/Bars: Grand Baie which is 25 minutes away and has a good selection of upmarket bars. There are restaurants all over the island but probably a night out would be best in Grand Baie.

- Pre shopping service Prior to your arrival, Price: EUR 50.-: You will be sent a suggested menu in English. You can choose from 5 main courses and 5 light meals. These can be interchanged for lunch or dinner. Fresh bread can be purchased for you each morning from the breadseller who comes past on his bicycle – no charge for this service.

Items will not be priced at any time before purchase. The purchase will be done at either Jumbo Supermarket at Riches Terre or Super U at Grand Baie which are the two main supermarkets on the island.

You will be given a summary stating the amount spent at the supermarket, the vegetable seller, the fruit seller, and the local convenience store, the bread seller, the chicken supplier and the fish supplier. The shopping here is not done in one place only and will involve at least three stops to get everything for the local cuisine which we recommend. Slips will be attached where these are available. Fruit and vegetable sellers, etc. do not provide slips. This service is provided for your convenience and not to make a profit on the exercise. (Price of the pre shopping service: EUR 50.-)


- The cleaning / maid (included in the price): Works from 9 – 12:30 p.m. and 4-5p.m. to do the ironing. Sundays and Public Holidays mornings only and on a special religious Public Holidays for her particular faith she may be replaced by the maid of the manager


- The cooking service (included in the price): Works from 09H15 - 14H15. Sundays and Public Holidays mornings only and on a special religious Public Holiday for her faith is replaced by the housemaid who will only cook a simple curry for lunch. The housemaid’s duties will then be done by the personal maid of the manager.


- The taxi service for airport transfer (40 Euros 1 way): We use only one taxi in order to get the best fares for the clients for sightseeing, etc. His name is Jayveen and he has a new airconditioned mini-bus which seats 10 people. He is a very careful driver, is extremely polite and obliging and gets many compliments from clients as he goes out of his way to please. (Price for airport transfer 1 way is EUR 40.-)

Prices for tours/shopping around the island have been negotiated with Jayveen and the list will be given to you on arrival.


- Activities: In the lagoon there are boat trips with the local fisherman for fishing, snorkeling or just a ride around the lagoon or a picnic to the island at the north end of the lagoon, Ile D’Ambre. There is excellent swimming right off our beach as we have the best spot in the entire lagoon – crystal clear water and clean sand underfoot. Snorkelling can be done around the rocks which dot the coastline, on the reef, or the fisherman can take them to a special spot at the south end of the lagoon known as Trou Vert where they can feed the fish with bread – nice for children. Watersports can be enjoyed at the hotels 25 minutes away.

Long walks on the beach to collect shells are popular. The beach is suitable for ball games as well.

Swimming is very safe for children and there is a lovely rock pool on our northern boundary which is popular with children. Toddlers can play there quite safely as well. As we are well protected by a reef the swimming in front of the villa is perfect for children.

We are bordered by a beautiful green belt on the other side of our road, so the area is lovely for walking, jogging and cycling. Bicycles are available for hiring.
